Moscow is a major economic centre. It is home to many scientific and educational institutions, as well as numerous sport facilities. It possesses a complex transport system that includes four international airports, nine railroad terminals, and the world’s second busiest metro system which is famous for its architecture and artwork.

Moscow is known as one of the most important science centers in Russia. The headquarters of the Russian Academy of Sciences are located in Moscow as well as numerous research and applied science institutions.


V. A. Trapeznikov Institute of Control Sciences, Russian Academy of Sciences (ICS RAS), is one of the most famous and oldest Russian scientific centers with a long and glorious history.

The Institute is located in the southwestern part of Moscow, a five minutes walk from the metro station «Kaluzhskaya». The Institute is equipped with two modern conference halls and several classrooms for breakout sessions. For many years, the Institute is home to Russian and International scientific conferences on issues of control.
